Electro Saber

The Electro Saber was the sword of the Masked Rider.

In 1995, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers learned of an attack against Alpha 5‘s home-world of Edenoi, where he had been built long ago by its King. The Rangers decided to intercede in the attack and made their way to the planet. When they arrived, they found themselves in the middle of the conflict, mistaken for invading forces by the planet’s people. One of the people was Dex- the hero of Edenoi known as the Masked Rider. The Ecto Accelerator was used to deploy the primary weapon of the Masked Rider- his Electro Saber. Announcing the phrase “Electro Saber activate!” caused the Ecto Accelerator to project the form of the handle of the weapon from the right-side circle of the Ecto Accelerator. As the handle solidified, the Masked Rider would pull it out and away from the Ecto Accelerator revealing the glowing blade as it unsheathed from his belt.

The Electro Saber was a long sword with a tubular blade, silver in color. At the hilt was a small red turbine which revved when the saber was activated. The handle of the saber was insert with three grooved lines at its grip.

The blade of the Electro Saber would glow, crackling with electrical energy. The energy surrounding the blade would pulse in such a way that it became directable, allowing the Masked Rider to fire blasts of energy towards his opponents. These blasts were strong enough to destroy three attacking Cogwarts. Even after discharging the blasts, the Electro Saber remained glowing white.  [MMPR3: “A Friend in Need, Part III“]
