Polarizing Gauge

The Polarizing Gauge was a device used by Billy to monitor a rare solar storm. It was transformed into the Magnetbrain monster.

Polarizing personality

When scientists predicted a rare solar storm in 1994, Billy planned to use his Polarizing Gauge to collect data for his high school science club.

As Billy inspected the device in the Youth Center, Trini observed that the device appeared to be very impressive. Billy explained that the device would collect data on the geomagnetic field during the storm. Billy warned that this electromagnetic phenomena could have unexpected results on the atmosphere.

The Polarizing Gauge appeared to consist of a large blue horseshoe magnet with a small silver antenna attached. An adjustable bracket connected the magnet to a small unit that appeared to contain a sensor panel, similar in appeared to a solar panel with multiple colored lights.

 

Making Magnetbrain

Billy would later activate the Polarizer in anticipation of the solar storm. However, Goldar appeared with a swarm of Z Putties and stole the Polarizer under the instruction of Zedd. Zedd then transformed the device into the Magnetbrain monster, who could reverse magnetic polarities.

When the device was later destroyed by the Thunder Megazord, the device reappeared, returned to normal apparently undamaged, laying on the grass. Billy later retrieved the device and was inspecting it when he returned to the Youth Center. [MMPR2: “Opposites Attract“]
