Appearance and Abilities
The Frankenstein Monster had a distinctive look, closely resembling the classic Frankenstein’s monster with bolts on the sides of his neck. Unlike most monsters, he did not demonstrate any language abilities, communicating his menace purely through his actions.
The Frankenstein Monster had several unique abilities:
- Bolt Weapons: He could remove the bolts from the sides of his neck, which were connected by chains, and swing them as weapons.
- Spiked Ball: When he grew to giant size, one of the bolts transformed into a spiked ball, enhancing his combat capabilities.
- Red Gas: As a giant, he could blow red gas from his mouth, which choked the Rangers inside the Megazord cockpit.
Encounter and Battle
The Frankenstein Monster first appeared in Angel Grove, peering into the window of Bulk’s room. He then wandered into a masquerade party at the Youth Center, where he attacked a girl and then Bulk and Skull. Following them outside, he proceeded to the cave where Finster, Squatt, Baboo, and the Putties were mining super putty.
During the battle with the Rangers, the Frankenstein Monster used his neck bolts as weapons. Upon growing into a giant, he initially transformed one of these bolts into a spiked ball. However, after throwing the Megazord and before the arrival of the Dragonzord, his weapons reverted to their original bolt form.
As the battle intensified, the giant Frankenstein Monster blew red gas from his mouth, choking the Rangers inside the Megazord. He attempted to use his bolt weapons again, but this time the spiked ball was gone. The Rangers, piloting the Dragonzord in Battle Mode, ultimately destroyed the giant Frankenstein Monster with the Power Staff.
