Summoning and Appearance

Rita used her candles and crystal ball to summon Mutitis and Lokar. The sky over Angel Grove darkened with different colored lightning bolts, and the ground quaked during the summoning. This event was accompanied by unusual power surges from Rita’s moonbase, which Zordon detected as more massive than any energy he had sensed before. Zordon hypothesized that Rita was harnessing a new, unfamiliar power.

Lightning struck Rita’s staff and altar, causing the giant Mutitis to appear in downtown Angel Grove. Mutitis had the neck bolts and weapons of the Frankenstein monster. Unlike most monsters, Mutitis did not demonstrate any language abilities. In his initial form, Mutitis wielded a ball and chain, which he used to knock the Megazord over with a single hit.

Transformation and Enhanced Abilities

Lokar’s Breath of Doom transformed Mutitis into a new demonic form, featuring a likeness of Lokar’s face on his chest. In this form, Mutitis gained several new abilities:

• Chest Eye Bolts: Mutitis could fire an energy bolt from each eye on his chest. The right eye shot a red bolt, the left eye shot a yellow bolt, and thin blue energy bolts connected the two.
• Toxic Foam: Mutitis could spray toxic white foam from his mouth.
• Combined Energy Blast: He could combine yellow energy bolts from his head and chest eyes into a single red blast with blue energy bolts swirling around it.

Mutitis, in his demonic form, continued to wreak havoc in Angel Grove while the Rangers were on the Island of Illusion. Upon their return, the Rangers engaged Mutitis in battle once more. The Megadragonzord’s Z sphere was ultimately used to disintegrate giant Mutitis.
