Appearance and Abilities

Pineoctopus had the ability to disguise himself as a human clown named Pineapple the Clown. In this form, he was able to interact with humans and carry out Rita’s plans without raising suspicion. When in his true monster form, Pineoctopus had a tentacles and a pineapple-like texture.

One of Pineoctopus’s abilities was turning people into cardboard cutouts. In his human form as Pineapple the Clown, he accomplished this by sprinkling magic golden dust from a pouch. In his monster form, he used his tentacles to sprinkle the dust. At Rita’s fake carnival, Pineapple the Clown used his powers to turn Sylvia into cardboard. He then attempted to use his dust on Billy, but Billy managed to duck, causing the dust to turn a Putty into a cutout instead.

Pineapple then transformed into Pineoctopus by melting into the ground. As Pineoctopus, he could shoot tentacles from his head and a barrage of pink balls of light from his face. Despite his formidable abilities, the Rangers’ suits protected them from his magic dust.

Battle and Defeat

During the battle, the Rangers managed to protect themselves from Pineoctopus’s attacks. The fight escalated when Pineoctopus grew into a giant. While in his giant form, Pineoctopus was temporarily frozen. Jason then had the Rangers form the Megazord Tank Mode to shoot at the monster. They finished him off with the Megazord’s cranial laser in battle mode. The cranial laser generated a powerful blast through the ground, disintegrating the frozen giant Pineoctopus, similar to the Tyrannosaurus’s ground breath attack.

Pineoctopus later appeared as one of the monster hallucinations to charge at the teens on the Island of Illusion.
