Spidertron

Appearance and Abilities

Spidertron resembled a giant spider. Unlike other monsters, Spidertron did not demonstrate any language abilities, communicating solely through his actions. It possessed several dangerous abilities:

• Web Launching: He could launch webbing from his arms, trapping his opponents.
• Goo Spewing: As a giant, Spidertron could spew white goo from his mouth.
• Electric Web: After trapping the Megazord in a giant spider web, he sent blue electricity crackling through it.
• Energy Web: He could shoot a blue energy web from his mouth.
• Shoulder Needles: His shoulders had flaps that opened to reveal needles, which could be fired at his enemies.
• Freeze Resistance: Spidertron was able to resist the Mastodon’s freeze spray.
• Energy Bolts: He could shoot two multicolored energy bolts from his mouth.

Battle with the Rangers

During his encounter with the Rangers, Spidertron utilized his web-launching abilities to great effect. After being transformed into a giant, he trapped the Megazord in a giant spider web and sent blue electricity through it, attempting to incapacitate the Rangers.

Despite his resistance to the Mastodon’s freeze spray, the Rangers were determined to defeat him. Using the Dragonzord Battle Mode’s Power Staff, they were ultimately able to destroy the giant Spidertron. After his destruction, Trini noted that the original Forest Spirit Statue reappeared unharmed, signifying the end of Spidertron’s threat.
