Ribbon Weapon

The Ribbon Weapon was a weapon given to the Pink Ranger by Zordon to fight against Lord Zedd’s Bloom of Doom monster.

Ribbon in the Stars

When Lord Zedd’s Bloom of Doom attacked Angel Grove, Zordon briefed Kimberley on the new threat. Zordon explained that she would require a special new weapon in order to combat the monster and Alpha 5 teleported it to her.

The Ribbon appeared in Kimberley’s hand and appeared very unimposing. The weapon appeared to be a wooden stick with a long pink ribbon wrapped around the top of it. Zordon instructed Kimberley to wrap the ribbon around the monster like a vine. Kimberley appeared unimpressed, but Morphed regardless.

 

Ribbon & Dangerous

The Pink Ranger joined the other Rangers in battle against the Bloom of Doom. When the monster attacked the Rangers with incendiary pollen, the Pink Ranger pulled the ribbon she had been given from between the fingers on the hand next to her Blade Blaster holster.

The Pink Ranger was able to quickly wrap the ribbon around the monster and send electrical charges through the ribbon which shocked the Bloom.

In an attempt to help, the Yellow Ranger attacked the Bloom with her Blade Blaster, but accidently severed the ribbon, releasing the monster. The Pink Ranger was able to trap the monster with the ribbon again, but the Bloom of Doom used the weapon against her, throwing the Pink Ranger through the air.

As the Pink Ranger fell, the monster was able to free itself of the remains of the now-useless ribbon, capturing the Pink Ranger. [MMPR2: “Bloom of Doom“]
