Artistmole 

Artistmole was brought into existence through Finster’s dream device, which scanned Ninja Kim with a green ray, knocking her out and capturing the essence of the Artistmole, a monster that had appeared in Kim’s dream. This dream-derived monster was characterized by comic book-style sound effect bubbles adorning its clothes.

Zordon explained that Artistmole could drain the color from living beings, effectively sapping their life force. However, it was also shown using its abilities on non-living elements, such as landscapes, buildings, and the sky, demonstrating its versatile power. The monster wielded a giant paintbrush capable of shooting red energy blobs and sucking the color out of anything it touched. This ability extended to the Power Rangers and Ninjor, who were turned black-and-white, losing their colors and powers after being hit by Artistmole’s multicolored energy.

Battles and Defeat

In battle, Artistmole displayed a range of offensive techniques. It could shoot red energy blobs and let the Rangers pass harmlessly through it, creating splashes of multicolored paint. When the Pink Ranger, Kimberly, joined the battle, Artistmole targeted her with pink energy blobs but consistently missed, although it did manage to blast her out of the air, failing to drain her color.

Zordon revealed that destroying Artistmole’s palette would restore the colors and powers of the Rangers and Ninjor. However, it was a Blade Blaster shot to the monster’s stomach that ultimately caused Artistmole to retreat, resulting in the return of the Rangers’ and Ninjor’s colors and powers.

The final showdown involved the Ninja Megafalconzord, which used its Wolf/Ape power punch to destroy the giant Artistmole, ending its color-draining menace.

Subsequent Appearances

Artistmole returned as part of Rita and Zedd’s strategy to divide and conquer the Rangers alongside Vampirus. After retreating and reappearing multiple times, Artistmole was knocked over by the yellow Shark Cycle and disappeared, likely destroyed or teleported away.

Artistmole attended Master Vile’s End of the World Party at the Youth Center, mingling with other monsters in celebration.
