Rita shrank Fighting Flea and placed him on a dog found by Jason, which resulted in Jason developing a contagious itch. The itching spell didn’t affect Bulk and Skull immediately, showcasing its selective effectiveness. During a battle with the Pink and Red Rangers, an explosion near them caused Alpha’s temporary spray to wear off, making Jason itch again beneath his suit.

When Fighting Flea returned to his normal size, he engaged in combat with the Rangers, using his needle shots and energy beams. Despite his formidable abilities, the Rangers managed to overcome his attacks.

Fighting Flea had a distinctive insectoid appearance, complete with antennae and a proboscis. His abilities included:

  • Itch Spell: Fighting Flea could cause intense itching, which was initially transmitted to Jason through a dog he found. This itch spell was contagious and highly bothersome.
  • Needle Shots: Once at normal size, he could shoot needles from his proboscis.
  • Energy Beams: Fighting Flea could shoot yellow energy beams from his antennae.
  • Explosions: His presence could trigger explosions, adding to the chaos during battles.

In the decisive battle, Fighting Flea grew to a giant size and continued to challenge the Rangers. However, the Megazord Power Sword was used to deliver the final blow, destroying the giant Fighting Flea.

Subsequent Encounters

Fighting Flea reappeared in various subsequent encounters:

  • Hallucinations: After Zedd planned to make the teens hallucinate past monsters, Fighting Flea was among those seen in the hallucinations.
  • Recreation by Finster: Finster recreated Fighting Flea in the Monstermatic as part of an ambush, claiming the monster had new, astounding powers.
  • Red Energy Beams: In a later encounter, red energy beams from Fighting Flea’s antennae were among the final blows that led to the destruction of the six Thunderzords.

Fighting Flea was also present during significant events, such as Master Vile’s End of the World Party at the Youth Center.
