Snizard

Appearance and Abilities

Snizard had a distinctive look, combining the traits of both a snake and a lizard. His body was covered in scales, and he had a large, menacing mouth that extended down to his stomach area. This mouth could open to fire “tonsil snakes,” which were cobras that wrapped around the Rangers and drained their energy.

Snizard’s arms ended in snake heads, which he could use to bite his opponents. His legs were adorned with cobras that he could release or shoot using an archer’s bow, transforming them into red arrows that stopped in midair and spun around, releasing red specks.

On his head, Snizard had a golden “zapper apple,” which he used to reflect the Rangers’ Blade Blaster lasers. His tail was also a weapon, which he used to strike at his enemies.

Zordon informed the Rangers that the only way to defeat Snizard was with the Power Bow. The Snizard’s full power would have been unleashed if he had fired an arrow that he had touched to his zapper apple. However, Kimberly was able to destroy Snizard by shooting his zapper apple with an arrow from the Power Bow neutralizing him.

On the Island of Illusion, Snizard was one of the monster hallucinations that charged at the teens, only to vanish when they stood their ground. In the haunted forest dimension, Snizard was summoned by the tombstone monster after Goldar had gathered what he described as Zedd’s favorite monsters. During this encounter, Snizard was kicked by the White Ranger and did not get back up.

Snizard was recreated by Finster as part of a group of monsters to capture the Rangers, referred to as the meanest monsters. Snizard attended Rita and Zedd’s wedding, bringing a human head in a basket as a wedding gift. As the wedding began, Saliguana joked with Snizard about someone refusing to serve reptiles, and Zedd put Snizard at the organ to play the wedding march.
