Appearance and Abilities
Spit Flower resembled a large plant-like creature. His body was like armor, providing him with significant protection and few weak spots.
Spit Flower had several abilities that made him a formidable foe:
- Flower Consumption and Production: He could swallow flowers by the ton and spit them out as biting, energy-sucking flowers. These creations could leap up and latch onto the Rangers, draining their energy.
- Energy Beams: Spit Flower could shoot green energy beams from his antennae. When transformed into a giant, he could also shoot yellow ring pulses from his antennae.
- Regenerative Abilities: His strength grew with every minute, likely from the energy his biting flowers drained from their victims across Angel Grove.
Encounter and Battle
During his confrontation with the Rangers, Spit Flower’s biting flowers latched onto the Rangers, draining their energy and making it difficult for them to fight back. His armored body provided significant resistance against their attacks. Zordon noted the difficulty in finding weak spots on Spit Flower and mentioned that the Zords were ineffective against him. This forced the Rangers to return to the Command Center to regroup.
As Spit Flower’s strength continued to grow, Kimberly managed to shoot an arrow from her Power Bow into Spit Flower’s spit sack, preventing him from producing any more “biting bloomers.” This crucial move weakened Spit Flower and stopped his ability to create new flowers. With Spit Flower vulnerable, the Rangers used the Power Blaster to deliver the final blow, destroying him and ending his threat.
