This long polearm is crafted from Universal Hardened Steel and can be summoned at will, providing the Black Ranger with a formidable tool for both offensive and defensive maneuvers. The Lunar Lance can also combine with the Astro Blaster to create a more powerful weapon, known as the Lunar Lance Booster Mode, enhancing its capabilities significantly.

Design and Summoning

The Lunar Lance is characterized by its long shaft and distinctive crescent moon-shaped blade at the end. Summoning the Lunar Lance involves a swift, practiced movement, often with the Ranger turning around and calling its name, causing the weapon to materialize in their hands.

Combat Techniques and Abilities

One of the notable combat techniques of the Lunar Lance is its ability to grapple opponents. Carlos has been seen using the silver crescent end of the lance to hook and lift enemies, positioning them for subsequent attacks from his teammates.

The Lunar Lance can be combined with the Astro Blaster to form the Lunar Lance Booster Mode. In this configuration, the weapon shoots powerful energy blasts. Initially, these blasts were yellowish, but they were later corrected to the signature purple energy blasts that characterize the Lunar Lance.

Key Battles and Effectiveness

During training sessions in the Simudeck, Carlos showcased the grappling ability of the Lunar Lance. He used the weapon to lift a simulated monster, allowing Ashley to deliver a finishing blast. This training demonstrated the coordination and teamwork essential to the Space Rangers, with the Lunar Lance playing a crucial role in their strategy.

In a significant battle on Earth, Carlos used the Lunar Lance to deliver a powerful slashing attack against Sting King. The weapon’s purple energy streaks were instrumental in seeming to destroy the monster before it was revived and enlarged by the Satellasers.

The Lunar Lance, along with other Rangers’ weapons, was severely damaged during an encounter with a cloud of alien termites. The ends of the lance were completely eaten off, demonstrating the vulnerabilities even powerful weapons can have against certain adversaries. The weapon was later repaired, restoring its functionality and effectiveness.

The Lunar Lance proved its worth in the battles against the Psycho Rangers. Psycho Yellow was notably struck by a powerful slash attack from the Lunar Lance, causing significant damage and making her collapse, though she would later rise and morph into her monster form.

Strategic Versatility

The Lunar Lance also plays a vital role in forming the Quadro Blaster, a powerful multi-attack rifle designed by D.E.C.A. This weapon is formed by combining the Lunar Lance, Satellite Stunner, Astro Axe, and Star Slinger, channeling their energies into a single, devastating blast. Carlos, as the Black Ranger, is responsible for summoning and firing the Quadro Blaster, with the Lunar Lance being a crucial component.
