Gifted to the Aquitian Rangers by the wise sage Ninjor around the year 1000, the Black Battle Borg embodies the spirit of the Frog, symbolizing adaptability and strength. Unlike traditional Zords operated by the Earth Rangers, the Battle Borgs are controlled telepathically, allowing them to mirror the movements and actions of their respective controllers.

Design and Appearance

In terms of appearance, the Black Battle Borg is a streamlined version of the Shogunzords, sharing a similar design but distinguished by its black color and frog motif. This unique design reflects its alignment with the frog spirit, emphasizing agility and resilience. The Battle Borgs’ ability to operate through telepathic control is a significant advancement, as it allows for precise and coordinated maneuvers that are perfectly in sync with the actions of their controllers.

Summoning the Black Battle Borg

To summon the Black Battle Borg, Corcus tosses a specific coin into the air. This coin glows with golden energy and calls forth the Battle Borg, which appears with a flash of black energy. Once summoned, the Black Battle Borg is ready for combat, instantly synchronizing with Corcus to mirror his every move and action.

Combat Capabilities

In combat, the Black Battle Borg demonstrates impressive strength and versatility. It is capable of performing powerful physical feats, such as lifting and throwing large objects or opponents. Its agility allows it to execute complex maneuvers, making it a formidable opponent in battle. The telepathic link between Corcus and the Black Battle Borg ensures that the Borg’s actions are seamless and efficient, directly reflecting Corcus’s movements.

Special Attack and Finishing Move

One of the unique features of the Black Battle Borg, along with the other Battle Borgs, is its ability to combine with its counterparts for a finishing move. In this coordinated attack, the Black and Yellow Battle Borgs stand side by side, forming the base. The Red Battle Borg then leaps onto their shoulders, while the White and Blue Battle Borgs create a platform with their arms. The Red Battle Borg then dives from this platform, transforming into a flaming streak that delivers a devastating strike to the enemy. This finishing move was effectively used to destroy the giant monster Slotsky, showcasing the combined power of the Battle Borgs.

Telepathic Link and Vulnerabilities

The Black Battle Borg’s direct telepathic link to Corcus means that any damage sustained by the Borg is felt by Corcus as well. This was evident in an incident where the giant blue Barbaric Brother threw the Black Battle Borg into the Blue and Yellow Battle Borgs, causing Corcus to be physically impacted along with Cestro and Tideus.

Challenges and Limitations

Despite their formidable capabilities, the Battle Borgs have faced challenges. For example, they were unable to defeat Hydro Hog, a powerful opponent on Aquitar. Additionally, their ability to be summoned can be hindered by external factors, such as when Zedd’s forcefield around Earth prevented the Battle Borgs from being called.
