Introduction and Origin
The Warrior Wheel was introduced to the Power Rangers Zeo by Trey, the lord of Triforia, to bolster the team’s arsenal during the absence of Pyramidas. This unique Zord has the remarkable ability to transform from a round tire into a robot. Although its appearance might suggest otherwise, the Warrior Wheel is a formidable combatant, demonstrating exceptional ferocity in battle. Its primary attack involves the Super Zeo MegaZord throwing it like a bowling ball at enemies. Upon being thrown, the Warrior Wheel transforms into its robot mode and crashes into its target with explosive force. Currently, the Warrior Wheel is inactive along with the rest of the Power Rangers Zeo’s Zords.
Arrival and Specifications
The Warrior Wheel made its approach to Earth from space, dispatched by Trey. Billy informed the Power Rangers that the approaching object was an impressive twenty-five stories tall and weighed approximately a million tons. Upon landing on Earth, the Warrior Wheel was immediately shown in its robot form, bearing the Zeo insignia on its chest. Trey of Wisdom, feeling that the Gold Ranger was at a disadvantage without Pyramidas, sent the Warrior Wheel to perfectly complement the power of the Super Zeozords.
Summoning and Initial Battles
Morphed Jason summoned the Warrior Wheel by holding up his glowing Golden Power Staff. The Warrior Wheel was then launched from the holding bay cannon in wheel form. After being shot from the cannon, it landed, rolled for a short distance, and then sprang up into its robot form. Notably, the Warrior Wheel operated without a pilot, showcasing its autonomous combat capabilities.
In its initial battle, the Warrior Wheel demonstrated its unique abilities by spinning around while surrounded by a blue energy whirlwind, effectively blowing back giant Stenchy’s gas attack. Transforming back into wheel mode, it landed in the Super Zeo Megazord’s hand. For a finishing move, the Super Zeo Megazord would throw the Warrior Wheel like a bowling ball, after which it would spring up in robot mode, fly toward its opponent with flaming energy streaks, and convert into red energy, passing through and destroying the opponent. This maneuver was successfully executed to destroy giant Stenchy.
Subsequent Deployments
Typically, Tommy would use his communicator to summon the Warrior Wheel from the holding bay, unless otherwise noted. In subsequent battles, the Warrior Wheel continued to demonstrate its effectiveness, though not without challenges. For instance, when thrown by the Super Zeo Megazord, it failed to destroy giant Louie Kaboom. However, it later proved its worth by destroying giant Protectron when thrown by the Super Zeo Megazord.
In another encounter, the Warrior Wheel was thrown at giant Nuklifier but did not manage to destroy it. Nonetheless, its role remained crucial in various battles, providing the Rangers with additional firepower and strategic options.
Key Battles and Tactics
One of the most notable uses of the Warrior Wheel occurred during a battle with the combined monster Impursonator-Cog Changer. The Zeo Megazord, Red Battlezord, and Super Zeo Megazord surrounded the monster and used the Warrior Wheel in a coordinated attack. They threw the Warrior Wheel amongst themselves, increasing its speed and charging it with yellow energy, forming a yellow energy whirlwind around the monster. Finally, the Super Zeo Megazord threw the Warrior Wheel for a finishing move, which successfully destroyed the combined monster.
